hi all. haven't fished for a bit over a week and was getting toey but feeling a little trepidation. 3 last trips had finished with 85, 68 and 67cm snaps and i was feeling i was about due for a donut::). had the tinny packed ready to go, planning to fish the night after work yesterday arv. forecast was great but when i got home it seemed a tad breezy:-?. waited for the 9.15 update and still not so flash but everything was ready so after hanging home till 10.30 decided to go anyways. left wello and snuck around green to be met by metre swell so back around the other side into 20 odd knot wind:(. figured green island might be the spot this time. anchored up and put out 2 lines with cuttlefish baits. not long to wait and 10 minutes later a 62cm fish comes aboard. missed another 3 good runs in the next hour. the cuttlefish were taken but the bone was left on the hook. managed a fitful sleep and woke near dawn to find the only other boat on the bay parked 50 yards away. wasn't close enough apparently as old mate starts up and moves another 30 yards closer. all for nought tho as only pickers around this morn. did the trip to mud but didn't stay long as wind and swell were a bit too much for comfort. didn't take a pic myself but dropped the fish off to a mate on the way home. he sent me 1 of his dinner;D.
anyways, thats 4 on the trot but they are getting smaller::). even more pressure next time!
