hi all,

I know wind knots have been covered before but i have a strange one here and dont know why,Long story short

Old Combo -

2-5kg raider - 2500 daiwa Legalis - Green Super Pe 8lb = Not a single knot in 3-5 years

New Combo -

same 2-5kg raider - Shimano Rarenium 2500 - Brand new Green Super Pe 8lb

I cannot cast 3 times straight without one of them knoting at point of release,The knots always knot up around an eyelet and never the same one, always randomly,I think its the knot catching on the way out of the rod,but cant understand why the same rod and line has never done this before in 100 000 casts.

Gonna have to put it down to the reel,Although the reel is twice the price and quality, the line must come of the reel differently to how it came of the legalis and its driving me crazy >:(

Any ideas without changing $40 worth of braid ??

spool over full?

hhhmmmm, love the net,Thanx netmaker, didnt really consider that for some silly reason,Will spool the spare with a bit less line and see what happens.

Maybe also braid not spooled under enough tension.

What Davo said. Have you got about 4mm from the braid to the lip of the spool?
