How to live bait estuary Trevally.

Hi guys.

Im after catching a trevally on a live bait. I would like to use hearing. What is the best rig to use? Mainly the sinker, to suit for where the bait needs to sit in the water column? Im fishing the Maroochydore River.

Unweighted live prawn around lights at night will work.

As Horse said have the bait unweighted and if using a spinning reel leave the bail arm open and watch the line.Just wait until they run with it for a bit ,close the bail arm and set the hooks and hang on.
