Mackay help

Hi All

I'm heading up Mackay way for 10 days of fishing ..... being totally clueless about the place I'm just after a little bit of help with some creeks / rivers that would be worth boat fishing (- for jacks/ barra etc) & maybe even to have a fish inshore / offshore - Plan to take some poppers & stuff just incase there are some GTs to chase........ Dunno :-?
At this stage our plan is to fish the local impoundments ......but other options would be great

Anyhow ...... any tips would be appreciated

Pelagics around the breakwater and Slade Island. Mackerel around Round Top and Flat top island. Mangrove Jacks and Barra in the river up near Dumbleton Weir.
Lots of places too fish
