Hi guys while im waiting for my boat to be finished i have decided to take some disabled people fishing. Some would say that's me on the piss:P but in all seriousness i need a land based spot where i can set two people up and have some sort of prospect of catching some sort of keeper. i do most of my fishing offshore and im a total novice to the better places to fish in SEQ on the land. i dont mind driving them down to the gold coast to pick a better spot if need be i just need some good spots that don't require crawling over 100 boulders to get something for the table at the end of the day.
Your best ideas would be welcome and hopefully put a smile on a face or two ;D that's what its all about

Behind the council chambers (GC) on the pontoon fihsing the nerang river would be easy access. Fish with live worms for some whiting, throw lures (if they can) for trevally or bream. Even prawns I am sure you will get some bream. Others would definately have better spots but that may be an option. cheers Scott

Out the front of the Grand Hotel in Runaway Bay has a large foreshore sort of area with shade, jetties, seats, etc, as well as the large sandy bit of Harley Park. Whiting, bream and flathead are all common there, with tailor, moses perch and the odd trevally turning up as well. Yabbies/prawns for the whiting and bream, pillies for flathead and everything else. Good luck, hope you get on to some.
Cheers,
Kaidon
