was bored ,so went and got this

am on holidays for the week,1st day into it i was bored,woke up like normal at 5.30 walked outside checked the weather loaded the boat got the youngbloke up and hit the water..put in over the river droped the pots out,headed over to the sandhills for a few tings for dinner tonite,,by the way there still there..fished for around 1/2 hr in 12-15knt winds got a feed then went for a quick troll for nothing then headed back to pull the pots ,got 7 sandies and a nice little muddie around the 6 1/4 inches;D...left the pots out will check and rebait them tomorrow... got 24 diver/winter whiting84635
now for those who worked today..i had a nice feed of crabs for lunch with an ice cold beer to wash it down..pretty easy to get a feed in the bay at the moment

yea mate got lucky there. had a week in iluka came back friday, went out fishin / crabbin sat sun mon tues wed lol so good getting around with out every man and his dog zipping around the creeks and bay.

I'm just after some advice

I'm still hoping to get out this Saturday, do you think I would do better sand crabbing around Coochie or Mud crabbing in the Logan,?. I'd just really like to bring home a feed.

got a report of huge numbers of sandies over at blakesley over on straddie 70 on sunday was the number he got...i recon if they are there they will be behind coochie..but then wavedancer just moved into a house what backs onto the logan and is getting 2 keeper muddies a nite out of 1 pot...so prob just confused you more but sounds like u should get a feed where ever you go

Got 71 whiting at the Sandhills yesterday, not another boat in sight. In saying that, my son got 50 of them (he counted alright!) got some pipis on main beach the day before and salted down they proved to be the gun bait. On one occasion a single pipi strip got 6 whiting!
