they were tough to find but after trying about 7 or 8 spots over probably 4 hours ended up with another nice feed of tings and 1 sandy to start the crabbin season.
Pots were soaking for about 5 hours for just the one male and a half dozen girls.
Plenty of that blankety weed all over the pots when i pulled em in.
Caught most of the whiting drifting the sand flats towards the bridges, along with a few undersize flatties. Biggest were around the 35cm. Also noticed quite a bit more of that snot weed around today which is a pain.
Sure beats the hell outta workin. best part is im back there tomorrow with the old boy then out to Mud on wednesday! ;D;D
The kids had some fun too when i tried to clean up.
Cheers

Very jealous.
I had been looking forward to seeing your report after you posted you would go out. I was very tempted to go myself today but I have a short week at work and had to sacrifice the fishing.
Was the sandy from the Pine, or out further?

Nice work Kingcray. I was out there too yesterday having a first look for the summer for some bream and flathead. Didn't find a single flathead but managed 9 bream (kept 6) and a solid summer whiting (on a 1/0 hook!).

Caught plenty more whiting.

Sat down and started filleting, heard a small squawk come from behind me and turned around the see all these critters!!! I found out they love the whiting roe.

I was so looking forward to your post of how you went today and now it just makes me feel sick. I can't get on the water tomorrow as planned - it really gives me the irrits - it happens so often I could just .....

I bet they are all waiting in the tree tops watching to see you leave and come home from all your successful outing when fishing.

Great to see the whiting Dean. Trace loves whiting fishing and we haven't targeted them for ages so I suspect that a whiting expedition may be on the cards once we finally get back on the water (hopefully no more than 2 weeks away).
Funny to see so many maggies in one place I don't think of them as being flock type birds....more your individual family type.
Thanks for the reports!
