Mud Island Tings Sunday 9 Sep

Left Nudgee - pre dawn for a trip out to Mud - hoping for a snap or two on the SPs - then we had planned to head over the Sandhills for some whiting and maybe a troll for a school mack.

The lad brough in a few u/s squire, grassies, those banded red things looking similar to grinners in a way- on various SPs and the home made jig heads. Bryce was catching a few whiting on SPs - first one was just under 29cm- we kept 12 for a feed - left the Sandhills plan till another day.

Snapper are nice, but my family prefer the whiting any day.

A feed of Whiting from Mud well done guys, as Lapras said above bloody nice feed there. I've never had much success on the Whiting there although on one trip the oldman pulled one in on a on a piece of mullet with a 3/0 hook dropped to choke a snapper.
