I started under the bridges at brighton at 5am and there was a breeze but that quickly dropped off. No fish and the sun was coming up and the tide getting low.
So I did the usual and headed out to shorncliffe and waded out to the beacons at the mouth of cabbage tree creek.
It was a gorgeous morning and very still and very few people were around.
Lately I have been fishing a 6lb leader and stick to my beloved zman shrimpz in the root beer gold colour, my second pack.
So I hooked up to me best flathead ever and she really didn't like it. She thrashed her head from side to side on top of the water and sliced straight through my leader.
I feel sorry for the big girl swimming around with a zman shrimpz as a lip piercing.
My fishing pals.
