Fished with Robersl today chasing the elusive whiting. Hardest part of the day was digging worms. Very hard to come by. Fortunately for me Shane took pity on the old fella and did all the digging. I worked up a pretty good sweat watching though lol. Launched in the Pine and moved about a fair bit till we got the right time/tide/current and found a bank holding fish. Managed 19 between us - all really good quality. The families will feed well this week.

Guys,

Top effort. I'm heading to the Pine tomorrow for my first fish in months. I'd be happy if we get a couple to take home.

Congrats again,

Dave

Shane is brilliant at digging worms! He often has the blisters to prove it!
Nice haul there boys they will go great in the pan, nothing like them!
Cheers

Good stuff boys, a nice feed oh Tings there, well done.

Did Shane get any blisters digging the worms? I notice his hands are a bit on the soft side.

Was there any of that slimey weed about?

Cheers,
John.

We were out yesterday and the weed only became a real problem on the run in tide.

I still have no idea how you get a feed of whiting in the Pine - buggered if I can find them but maybe it is the bait (or maybe they are just better fishermen). We used those frozen/preserved worms, squid, flesh baits and livies (hard to come by and no prawns). Only one tailor to take home and a few throw backs. Tough day - if bobbing around in a boat with a mate on a glorious day when you should be at work is tough and your results give a good excuse to try again.

Nice work Pete and Shane. That is some good chewing there. Guessing it will be chicken sangas for a while now.

Hi Lapras ,
The baits you are using will make it tough to get a feed of Whiting down the Pine. Live bloodworms or yabbies will get the job done . Have had some success with beach worms at times . Coochin
