Slipped out to Area X - that everyone knows anyway - slightly east of the western green marking the Chain Banks out from Wellington Point and was but one of many boats in Fish City!
Top sized whiting with half a dozen up around the 30 cms mark.
We bagged out with our sixty whiting, mainly divers and I think a few summer whiting thrown in as well.
Great to see the boat next door awash with the Asian fraternity - 7 on board - taking anything that was wet and moved! Size, type, shape, nothing mattered! In the bag for the big cook up! Even a baby stingray ........................ damn butchers they are!
Was tempted to give Boating and Fisheries a call but anybody's guess which ramp they came from, geeeez they get you going when you see this happening whilst the rest of us do our best to "do the right thing!"
Also had a successful trip using slices of bullocks heart along with the usual pricey worms.
The whiting took the heart just as readily as the woims!
If I hadn't busted all my fans belts (3 of them) nearing home at Raby Bay, I would have been out there again tomorrow, Friday, that will be like glass on the Bay!
