Nice. Is that the Do it mold? Can you put the hook directly onto the jig or do you need a swivel or split ring.

Cheers

yes, same mould

you can fit a swivel directly onto the mould, but not a hook unless the mould gets modified.

since these, I moulded the next ones with the swivel directly on the wires in the mould, and then opened up the eye of the hook to put directly onto the swivel (same as ganging hooks)

I'll probably use smaller swivells next time

reckon it will give massive action with a 7" or larger plastic

the smallest is 2 oz and the biggest is 8 oz for deep work

Very good.
You need some black nickle hooks with serrated lead on the shank to hold soft plastics. Call around and I will show you some.

The 8oz with a 10" glow plastic would be fun to drop on the 400m grounds

Big fan of the pivoting elevator style jig head seem to get down in the zone quicker and more directly.

single split ring points the hook 90 degrees the wrong way, would need to use double split tings to line the hook up

I'm going to try the heavy ones instead of knife jigs
with big plastics.............

I've tried to use normal plastics with no real (sustained) success, going to try these and have a good feeling as I think they will suit my style of fishing better

tried a plastic on them this afternoon, pushed right up onto the hook eye and it seemed to stay stuck on the hook eye

need to find plastics bigger then 7" now

I reckon these will work with a circle hook and a livie as well...

I often use a running 8 ball directly over a circle hook for some fishing so these should work a treat for that purpose as well

Yeah you need to find out what hooks the nitro elevator's use and then you can use a single split ring

cheers tim :)

These ones from Lunker city come in at 10" but still have a great profile and action
