I'm not sure about everyone else but my wahoo season was hit and miss. From all the talk you had to be there on the day to catch any numbers. I was there on a few of them. The video and pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy. ;D http://youtu.be/L43k4JxtZLc

Nice one mate, we got a few as well this year and same as you they were good size with very few under 10kg, considerin we didnt get out much before dec we got our share for sure ;D did you think they seemed late this season? I also had a odinary yellow fin catch with small ones bein the norm, how bout you.

Most of the fish were in that 15-25kg range. I dont usually measure fish as they tend to get fatter rather than longer with age. Late start on the wahoo, i didn't get any until January. Then March and april due to lots of bad weather inbetween.

Well done boys. Good to see that you wait until the season is over before posting your success, unlike others who post within 5 seconds of arriving home, so as to attract the vultures from all over SE Qld and Northern NSW the next day. Again congrats on some terrific whaoo.

well thanks for the reminder I didn't get one this year :) top stuff though and a few good ones in there

even tried at Fraser Is to get one for the deckie for a while but the sharks were just too good, had a run that almost spooled me on the little TLD15 just about had him in sight and got sharked :( got the Tynos out but didn't put much effort into it then, ended up losing 5 lures for 0 fish

just looking at your lures and wondering what speed you are going for the DR's?

again thanks for the vid

Hey Murf, Trolling speed is as fast as the lures will swim, anything above 12knots is good.

yep yep cheers for that, had trouble going fast enough at Fraser with the rough seas blowing out the lures I had at 9 to 10 knots

Was a non event this end of the world at Hutchies. Bit of a November bite again but then no Autumn bite. Got a few random ones going for marlin and that was about it. Good vids. What sort of fuel burn are you doing for how many hours of high speeding?

About 10litres an hour in calm conditions, a bit more when the current is running and wind is up
