Despite the Tempo being very stable I still find myself wobbling a bit when casting standing up, and I'm shlte at accuracy sitting down, so this is my latest pimp...........they have "learner" written all over 'em! ;D

awesome Kev..but they look like torpedoes..are they to keep others away from you ??

question..the rod holders..are they screwed into the deck or drop into the existing rod holders?

trying to work out what to do on mine.

Yeah Greg............they're actually primed to explode if a big bronzie comes alongside ;D

The yak comes with 4 rod holders fitted in trolling positions, these are add-ons. Drilled holes and dropped in mount with the actual holders being removable and positionable.

Looks great Kev. Great to be able to stand up after a while and ease the numb bum.

Kingtin, Hobie have a similar setup called "Sidekick Ama Kit". The floats are bow-up style and give good stability. Cheers, Pete

To be honest..................the more I look at 'em, the more I dislike 'em.........................another impulse buy and wasted dollars....................time will tell.................like funchy says, the bum needs a rest on a long days fishing.

I am wondering what they do to you when beam on waves come along..... You yak is now eight feet wide.... Does it rock more now?

Never met a beam on wave yet...............that's one situation I'd avoid like the plague, even with a yak as stable as the tempo.

Ah... I am ignorant of yaks but would have thought you would get the occasional side on (or nearly) wake coming at you when you didn't notice.

If you do night fishing especially. But I am often wrong so that's no real surprise. :)

No, you're right. The Pine River can be a nightmare for yakkers sometimes. Listen for the jet skis and skiers and pre-empt their wash by swinging the nose of the yak round to meet it.
