where to find pike around port of brisbane?

Hi Guys

I'm completely new to boating and have recently got myself a little 4.3m tinny. Being new to this I have been starting slow and am just enjoying myself exploring around the river mouth. Haven't caught much though apart from a few unlucky bream but I'm sure some luck will come my way with perseverance :)

Anyway I know the brissy river holds some nice fish and was told that pike is good live bait. Is there a place where I can reliably catch a few pike esp. at night? Also have any of you guys tried using bait jigs at night for pike successfully? Would love to get out there and have a go at trying to land some Jews.

I will be mostly fishing at night.

Manly would be your best bet.
Around the walls and Jettys.

Use small plasitcs or small hard bodies.

i get most of my livies around the poo shute on the north side of the mouth, herring gar mullet and prawns. never got any pike before though. i usually get them in a cast net. but im sure herring would take a bait jig at night.
