I checked out Point Halloran from the shore on the weekend. A bit slow but a couple of fish bobbed up to keep things interesting and after a couple of hours I ended up with half a dozen fat bream and a lone whiting. The fish were mostly caught on yabbies and I dropped back to a 00 sinker to get the fish. They were in closer than they normally are, and it always pays to try a few different things towork out where the fish are. Not a huge pile of fish, but an okay feed.

I can remember many many years ago, there use to be some sort of boat ramp there and a rocky outcrop. We use to fish the edge of the rocky area and get monster bream, all around 3-4 lb mark.
Is that area still there. Use to be a dead end street.

It's still there Seahorse, but hasn't produced yet for me this year. It always looks fishy but seems to cough up less fish than some of my other spots in the area. It was loaded with undersized squire up to 32 cm last year, but alas no keepers.

Daryl, it just brings back memories. Mate and I use to go down there and fish at night. Mate that was about 30 yrs ago.
I use to use steak as bait. That was our secret bait back then, and believe it or not, still caught good snapper at mud only 12months ago on same bait.
Very universal. Should give it a go.
