i have got hold of a cheap brand new Samaki zing 7' 8-15lb rod. Looks bloody awesome. I have been looking for a while now for the best reel to suit. Mainly fishing soft plastics around the bay and close to home on the reefs.

I have been looking at the Stradic 2500fj and technium 2500fc. Looking through the forums the stradics seem pretty popular and reliable. Trying to stay under $200..... anybody have anything like this or can suggest something else,,,has to be spin reel.i dont really know much about any other brands other than Shimano when it comes to spin reels.

I can get certain braids free too so feel free to tell me ur preference.

Most of my boat rods are lighter with 1000 size reels so bit unfamiliar with this :-?;D

Cheers and thanks in advance

Hey buddy, thought about the 3000 size? I got a stradic fj in 3000 size for the bay it's an awesome reel that also can handle the larger species with ease I even use it when I go outside. Would highly recommend a stradic fj I just love having that little extra on the spool. I run the 3000 on my bay snapper raider and also on my diawa 4-8kg rod.... In short love the stradic!
