can someone out there please tell me what paint i can use on my diesel engine its a volvo penta orignal colour was green which id like to keep or match close.i have looked at the vht paint range and they have limited colour, went down that road thinking it would have to be high heat paint but reading some fourms others are saying it doesnt have to be high heat paint.so can someone please tell me what paint can i spray the whole engine with.cheers.;D
Take an easy to remove part off the engine and take it down to a paint shop and have them colour match some 2 pack paint for you. 1ltr should be enough.

On your engine Blacksunday, definitely no need for vht paint. No where on the engine, including the turbo ever gets any hotter than the coolant temp. When I did my 41 up, I did as BM said, I took a rocker cover to a paint shop and got them to colour match it, only I used enamel not 2 pack. They also put some in a pressure pack for me for touch ups.
You can buy pressure packs from Volvo for about 30 bucks a can! Thieves!
