Just wondering what polish to use on gelcoat. My boat has been buffed[in the USA] but I can't remove the swirl marks.i brought some TCNano polish but it seems to fine and really does nothing.
With cars I usually use 3m perfectit but was wondering if there was something better for fibreglass.

G'day
Generally speaking, go to a finer grade (farecla P500) and a foam pad is need be. Finish with a superfine foam pad and then the wax.
How bad is it?

ok Thanks
It is not that bad you can only see it on certain angles but still annoys me.
I am a spray painter but wasn't sure about gelcoat.I like farecla aswell.
What final polish would you recommend? Tc nano anygood?

G'day
Personally I've never heard of it.
What I do really like for paint (vehicles) is menzerna. http://www.hallsindustries.com/index.php?_a=viewCat&catId=44&page=2
Look at the ip 1000 or ip2000 for glass if you wanted to go down that path, ip5000 would be too fine imo.

A lot of the guys out there are having great success in removing swirl marks from fibreglass by using the Menzerna FG500/PG1000. I know some will stop at that then finish with wax. However, some, depending on how bad the swirls are, will hit with Menzerna FG500/PG1000 then IP2000 then to wax..... Keep in mind the Menzerna range was/is designed for cars, so the 'heavy cut' FG500 does not have the 'geddy up' of the heavy cut Farecla Profile 100..... I would use the menzerna range to remove swirl marks only or on 2pac painted boats.....
