I was looking for some prices on outboards and came across this website.
http://classifieds.boatsplus.com.au/ads/yamaha-honda-mercury-suzuki-outboards-for-sale/
Everything looked ok, a little cheaper but considering they were listed in USD I figured with importation they were on par. Then I saw the Honda prices. Holy carp. Have they missed a 1 at the start of the prices.
Are they legit?
Sure if you buy an engine in the US you probably won't have any warranty but at that price is it worth the gamble?
are you serious???? them prices are just soooooo cheap!!!! I may have to talk to the minister for war and finances :)

It must at least be worth contacting the seller to get some details.

if you believe that you will buy outboards for that price you have to urgently see a doctor as you require immediate medication.

Hey Stuart
What sizes of Yammi are being duplicated ? I know the little ones had been done over the years but never sure about larger stuff.

These outboards are without the binnacle and controls , aus dollar conversion, freight and gst . There are importers out there who will bring these outboards in with profit also on top

And in most casses the warranty will be held in the country of origin and with the larger engines it dosn't take much of a issue to make warranty all worth while

These are typical prices people are paying for outboards in the US. Was quoted just under $40k a few weeks ago for a brand new F350 V8 Yamaha by the local dealer so if these guys are legit then are some good savings to be had.
Do your research before parting with any coin tho, there are plenty of dodgy pr1cks out there trying to get their mits on your $$.
These guys have SCAM written al over them:

$25k saving, at least Ned Kelly used a gun to rob people. we were in the import/export business a few years ago ( my old man) (not motor/parts) i know what goes in to bring stuff in, and be an australian distributor, some of the ones these days need a good hard look at themselves coz its just plain wrong what they think can charge.

The chinees copy Yamaha are done in all sizes. I was offered a 200 4stroke for 4.5K landed.
I know there is a 20ft container due to land soon full of the copy Yamaha's, so if you hear of a cheap yamaha, be carfull.

Is there any way of finding out if these guys are scammers? With all the other scams around the place you can log onto many sites and get info regarding the legality of them. What if these are legit? How do we find out for sure?

A quick Google revealed the following result from alibaba:
I wish to report a scam with web site www.outboardsexp.com (http://www.outboardsexp.com) / www.marine-motors.com (http://www.marine-motors.com) I've purchased outboard engines for more than US$3 000. Order has been paid via Paypal in two remittance @ outboardsexp@hotmail.com and kbworldtrade@hotmail.com After payments have been done, supplier sent me contract via Fedex , that I've signed and sent back as requested. I didn't received any news till today. Phone number on site is wrong. I've got some HK phone numbers registred on this company Fedex account but it's wrong numbers ! Take care of this supplier. cheer
and from a Motorcycle forum:
Hi to all! I notised that company also...Send some e-mail and they answer.
Everything is made like a pro, but i am guaranted that is a scam.

Here is link: www.Outboardsexp.com (http://www.outboardsexp.com/) (same as marine-motors), http://www.boatsmarinemall.com (http://www.boatsmarinemall.com/) (that is newest)

after doing a few searches they both appear to be a little shady. In fact on one site they are mentioned to as the same mob. Santa doesn't live in Japan then!!
