Well I guess I have picked the windiest week of the year to have off but I managed to get a good lull in the breeze from about 2pm onwards yesterday so I packed the tinny up and off I went. I was the only one out around the scarby reef yesterday was a bit weird not to another boat out. Packed with 1.5kg of fresh squid I threw 2 rods out and with my third had my Gulp minnows with my new painted Jigheads I bought from the local tackle shop up at Scarbrough Marina. No hits on the baits but got myself a nice little 35cm Flatty on my plastic . Did not take too long for the fish to hit the baits though I pulled in 2 tailor and one 37cm snap just on dusk wasn't bad for a 2 hour session on dead low tide at least I can say to the boys at work I got out at least once as they fish the bay aswell. Got some good pick of the sunset too.:)

Yeah Dean I have never caught flatties around this end in the 4 years I have fished this spot as I have always got them in the pine. Yeah this weekend is up the shit Dean I was speaking to a few of the old blokes up at the ramp and they reckon it should come good in about a week or so good old winter westerlies. I am going to go back and get a few more packs of those jigheads when I am up there next.

Thanks Dave yeah mate nothing better than being out at dusk watching the sunset just makes being out on the water even better. I just with the tide was up a bit more.:)
