the yam has a popped piston but as a blank canvas its a beauty. The hull is as straight as the day it rolled out of the factory and ive cut and polished the paint on the hull and its like glass..80501

I had to read it twice. I was thinking $15,000, he has paid too much! $1,500 though, what an absolute steal!

Wayno - that is a bargain. - What is the trailer like?

Looking at the photos - the centre console should be moved back a bit - you'll find she will ride a bit better (comfortwise) as well as being easier to trim. - YOu don't wantto be too far forward - especially if you are by yourself.

wow, $1500, great deal for a good tinny. even if you threw a brand new motor at it you wouldn't be overcapitalising.

SCM,
My cuz has a clark centre consol around the same size and his CC was further back like you say...But im torn... a bit of extra room down the business end or a nicer ride for the few times that i go outside or up to the bay????

Lump, thats the plan

move the console back a bit. Too far forward and you won't have much fun going with a following sea...trying to nose dive!!

Looks like it was originally where "your" nice pink top is ;D

but yeah, back a rib, or back to original location imo.

That is an excellent project, in your side shot the console doesn't look too bad where it is but as others have said the boat is more likely to perform better with a bit of weight biased to the stern but you want some good uncluttered work space as well. maybe half rib back perhaps if practical

Now that i work 7 day straight then get three or 4 days off depending on the roster and the weather, not alot has happened to the boat but ive been able to tidy up the console and get the elects sorted. Tomorrow ill get a few more pick when i get some new batteries for the camera.

A little more tidying up of the elect, fit the gauges, im getting a clear curtain made for the openings on the front of the console with a window to get to the vhf and radio without opening the whole curtain.

Fitted the gunwale lights this arvo and tonight after tea tested them......im excited!!
really happy with the angle of down light and the brightness.

A few more update pics. Had to keep the deckie happy with her own seat. The loo fits in nicely into the centre console with the first aid kit in the shelf above.
