With the great weather continuing, it was another no brainer weekend to hit the calm seas of Moreton Bay.

Fished various Bay Islands from Sat Arvo through till mid morning Sunday. A long session that saw the wind change direction a few times and become rather chilly in an open boat during the wee hours of the morning. Had a few visits from dolphins as I tried for a nap. Bit eerie on such a dark night, fishing solo :'(.
Fishing was quiet with only vermon hitting the deck most of the time, after several shifts and picking up a crew at 4-30am we shot across to Mud Is for a gamble on a dawn bite. It paid off and we boated 3 nice squire to 53cm around 6am. A trickle of good sized Bream kept us going till we pulled the pick around 10am. Best bait was fresh mullet strips fished with little or no lead on a snooded 2 x 3/0 hook rig.

Back to Fishies Ramp and loaded the boat to head off to Pi80436ne R/Hayes inlet to chase a few whiting. Got there in time to dong some nice fish through till low tide around 3pm. Sworn to secrecy for the exact lo80435cation, but have a scout around and you will find them.

Slept well Sunday night, only just recovered really :P:P, ready for State Of Origin tonight !!80433

Yes Mike very tasty Whiting ! Fun to catch too........

Only tyre kicking half cabs for now to see what is out there for up to 10k.
Planning a big refurb of my rig to have it looking sexy for re-sale. Will be throwing some $$$$ at it to have it perfect. Will be contracting a few Ausfishers to do the following - wiring, upholstery, detail/polishing, maybe new carpet, plumbing. Will start all this around August after Bream season, lol !
Have to sell the cyclone prior to purchasing the next rig.
