Gday all just a quick report on our weekend at iluka this long wekend, didnt get to iluka till 4pm saturday due to work and stayed at the woomba woods caravan park, got a cabin for 75$ a night, great little park and way cheaper than staying in iluka itself, hit the middle wall sunday morning and found the water a tad dirty at the bottom of the tide but not too bad, also tried the sand banks downstream from palmers island, hit the iluka wall on sunday night to try for some quallity bream or tailer but no good, no tailer and just small bream, same for the flathead, just 3 keepers to bring home but a real good one lost on the middle wall, my wife also caught a few keeper bream, wish i could give a better report but i flogged the western half of the wall this am as it kept me out of the southerly and the flathead just were not there, tried changing my plastic a few times but it didnt help, weather was fantastic and quite cold at night.
Biggest blow of the weekend was to find out that the chinese tucker is off at the iluka bowls club for some reason, had a damm good feed there at xmas and was keen to get stuck in again..

Oh mate...that isn't very encouraging, we will be down there in few weeks. Still, we hope you enjoyed being on the water, sure beats working.

Thats a good catch rat, the walk to the end of the wall would be a task in itself, all those round rocks that turn your ankles! rough going but great water at the end, did you see that moon come up sunday night?, beautifull...
And the middle wall held quite a number of smallish bream but not much else, think i need to live down there to get the most out of the place lol...
