Anyone know where I can obtain these rod holders - shown in attached picture?

Splash, if you are going to use someone's images, at least have the decency to ask their permission to do so ...

May I have permission to use these images? Sorry.

These are great rod holders and I hope you can advise me where I can obtain them Matt.

You should get the Internet Image Police on to him Matt.

Nah..
The images are on the net.. the net is a public domain = public property... no need for permission for something that has been posted anywhere on the net... That is why I don't post naked pictures of myself on Facebook any more hahaha

Whitworths, i think they call them snapper rod holders or something. Quite flimsy things with a foam insert that click to lock.
Ok for horizontal transport rods onboard, boat hooks/paddles etc. I use a few, wouldnt rave about them but do a job without jarring open, so i guess they work.

That’s total BS mate. Just because a photo is on the internet does not mean it there for becomes public property. The owner of the photo owns the copy write not some one that wants to lift it then use it for themselves. I have had photos lifted from my business face book page, I found out by mere chance. One email with the term copy write and the pics where pulled.

So if you don't want anyone to use them, don't put them up, if you want people to know where they come from, use a watermark.
Depends on what the use is, if someone is blatently plagerising your work, you have right to say something, in this case, I beleive it should be taken as a compliment. Spalsh likes what you've got, and was trying to find out more. Isn't that why there are so many posts on here and other forums of the setups that people have and what items people have used so that we can all benefit from them.
Just my opinion, but I'd be more than happy for someone to copy what I have done (if any of it was of any use), what was the old saying:

Immitation is the best form of flattery.

Can I please look at the images and ask questions about them? Can I show them to my mate?

Seems a bit precious to me to have a go at someone for using the images. If this forum isn't for sharing tips and thoughts.... Wots it for?

I like your idea of putting the stern light pole on one... Stops it getting damaged as it rolls around. (I have one but I hate those dicky little poles with their waiting-to-fail electrics)

Pretty sure if there is no registered copy write on a publicly available picture (usually denoted by the c in the circle on the picture) then there isnt a leg to stand on. Happy to be directed to information that says otherwise- Im not a IP lawyer.

Pretty sooky effort Matt Chew- what is the problem?

You haven't had any break on you? Do they hold your rods fairly securely or do your rods spin a little in them? Just wondering if your reels bang against the hull underway.

I like the look of them. Of course I only looked at them on the Whitworths site, I made a point of not looking at the photo that Splash put up seeing as it appears to now be the subject of some copyright claim. My eyes did momentarily move towards the offending image, but only briefly and I wouldn't say that I took in much detail, preferring instead to look at the picture that Whitworths supplied because to the best of my knowledge nobody is having a sissy fit about the Whitworths images.

PS it's copyright not copy write which is close to copywriting which is writing advertising copy.
