Which one of these products are best for protecting rods when being transported inside rod lockers that are located in boats?

Also, which one is best for ease of use and practicality?

I have a heap of the rod gloves and I reckon they are the ducks nuts. They give a lot more protection than the cloth ones in my opinion.

On the point of protecting rods, I've previously snapped the tip of a reasonably expensive ($350) bream rod when putting it into a rod sock and haven't used one since. I figure I'm more likely to damage them putting them in and out of a cover than I am by just sticking them all in a rod tube/locker together.

Sorry to hear of the snapped rod tip fafnir...

where to buy these gloves in Oz?

How best to install/place rods into a rod locker?

in my big boat where weight is no issue I use lay flat pump hose, it maybe a little heavy for your application
it has rubber coating on the outside and cotton lined inside the trick to putting rods in is to put the but end in first and let it feed itself i have a series of stainless rings on the top side and the same spaced stainless hooks down the side of the boat and you just clip them on like a set of curtains
we use this when travelling on rough dirt roads because the layflat hugs the rod (you don't get wear or rub spots on the bottom like you do in stiff tubes)
then feed three or four up a length of 100mm dwv pvc so no breaks no wear.
cheers
