Gt Rod & Reel set ups

Going to maldives on surf holiday on boat trip iam thinking of buying Shimano T Curve bluewater 10 to 15 kg rod and matching it with saragosa 8000 would this be enought to tackle gts coral trout ect...

I would take a 24kg rod and a 1400 Saragosa with 80 pound braid just in case the GTs are over 40lb.

Do you think that set up would still be ok for snapper fishing when I get home also would be trolling for macas needs to be kind of multi purpose wont just be gt that Iam chasing

What you first suggested would better suit for an all round setup.
