Bad Weather Spot

Ok, so the weather today was not good but sometimes you just get sick of waiting around for the good stuff and say it's worth a try! So we ventured out today, tried a trip to Peel but cancelled that then headed to tinnie creek and ventured out to king island to find a sheltered spot....spent the day there and was mostly fine, kids had fun, not much fishing going on but missus was happy and it counts as a day out.

So it leads me to ask the question.....when the weather is shit, where do you head that has a nice sheltered spot that is good for a beach, maybe a fish and family friendly?????? This is of course general, I realise it's dependent on wind direction.

Jacobs Well, I always find a spot there in the Pimpama river that is fishable even in the worst windy conditions, but beware the midggies are fairly fierce atm due to all the stagnant rain water in the paddocks. I was over there yesterday and it was very peacefull and managed to get a few fish too.
