first lassooed fish

hi all. went to peel west arties again today. didn't get out till after 7am. first try of zman grubz for me and was happy to land a small snap first cast;D. long time before any other action which arrived in the form of a noosed little snap:-?. line was around him and jighead back around the line. seen a mate do it once before, didn't think i'd see it again. a few more hours and i got the hit i was after with a good strong first run, only to have the jig spat:'(. only 1 good fish which was about 55 and he was returned to get a bit bigger for another day. also managed an 8" sweetie on a 9" grubz. go figure. happy to report the jelly has definately moved on but it looks like it has been replaced with corn flake kelp::). all up a very nice day on the water with nice conditions. managed to squeeze 23 knots out of the new merc after having moved my deep cycles from up front to midships and achieved a nicer ride too;D.

i remember that charter boat. done a couple of trips on her. last time i had to push mossy outta the way so i could put some fish in the box. first time he was sort of outta the way most of the time without assistance....

Apparently he holds the record for largest snapper between me and him..... not for long I say. :D
