Heya's..

Figured I'd pop my little mod up for anyone interested. Having a small boat (4m tin) I don't want to install LED's all over it as I don't always go in my boat. However, I do want light when rigging etc and not all boats I go in have lighting adequate for such a job.. So I came up with this idea.. (Probably been done heaps before)

Chuck some LED's inside the lid of my tackle box with a switch for when I'm rigging, or if I just want ambient light in the boat. I must say it works a treat and if put on the front seat, it lights up an area 15m outside the boat.. lol

7.2ah SLA should give me PLENTY of runtime... DAYS!!! lol

Add's a little weight to the box but it's not like I walk to the end of long piers to fish... Carry to boat, carry to shed. /end.

Brilliant idea. With the lid closed and the light on do you get a nice glow through the boat?

Not really, though you can see the tackle in the top compartments easier. lol The plastic is a little thick for that, though if I turned some LED's around it would shine through more I guess.. kinda pointless though I feel.
