We decided to go for a quick fish in Moreton bay yesterday arvo.
We originally where going to try our luck around Peel but decided to try a favourite spot along the way. This spot is really in the middle of no where with very little structure in about 16m of water.
I have to admit to being a bit of a convert to soft plastics [Old Dog,new tricks;)]
We drifted and anchored around this spot for a few hours and managed 2 Nannygai and a good size Estuary Cod.
About 8 years ago I saw someone pull 6 Nannygai off this mark, it was great to see that they are still there.
We made it home in time for tea, and are looking forward to Nanny on the Weber tonight.

Cheers Troy

Hi Phill
I have never caught Nannys any where else in the Bay and to tell you the truth I'm still surprised when I pull them up from this spot.

Nice fish there Zulu, Great eating too. As for anywher else in the bay, they have showed up on in the Pearl Channel off scarborough on a few occasions. For some reason, all the ones we have caught were while it was pissing down rain.
