Katherine gorge in a yak

I'm off to NT in Aug and will paddle Katherine Gorge up as far as the fifth. Anyone done it and might be able to tell me about the portages between gorges.

BTW, the crocs don't concern me as I'm going with a couple of other blokes and I can paddle faster than them.

Mate never been up past the first gorge......shame on me as i live only a few hours from them.

From what i have heard it is a fairly popular thing to do so it shouldn't be too hard of an exersize,just remember to troll a lure behind the yak!.......As for crocs.......well who wouild know really.......it's certainly not "infested' as they like to say but there is the odd salty around but you are more likely to encounter a freshie.
