braid diameter

have a daiwa freams 3000 on a Mexican raider 2 that i want to spool with 10lb,I have used Nano and sunline pe 8lb.Dont want to use nano on this,and although i like the sunline 8lb,im happy to change brands to save on diameter and casting ability.Im after the thinnest diameter quality braid i can get,definately want 10lb.Any suggestions, budget is up to $80ish for 150yds

Have a look at the paulus just fishing website (google it). He has measured braid diameters for many popular brands. The diameter written on the packet is misleading, as is the stated breaking strain on the packet. A really thin braid with an actual breaking strain of 10lbs mind have a stated breaking strain of 4lb. If you want really thin stuff an over-performing 4 lb might be your best option.

Thin is not always good and I am just going off stated breaking strains. I think Fins is a great, user friendly braid. In heavier lines Berkley Whiplash is very thin and has worked for me but you have to watch your knots especially when the line is new. Jigman Ultra is good and I would love to be able to afford Varivas
I'm not sure what the best 10lb thin lines are as I need some bulk just to see them well enough to tie a knot

One thing I found about it was abrasion resistance when the leader knot through the rod end.

Very sturdy gear.

Iv'e managed to get 300m of Daiwa Hyper PE 30lb on a Daiwa "New Certate" 3000. It's possibly the thinnest braids on the market that I know of.
It claims to be 0.11mm thick. It looks just as thin as 6lb berkley fireline crystal which i have on a 1500 size daiwa reel.
