Am heading down to Tweed heads by myself this saturday (I'm from Brizzy) to have some work done on the new car. Have never fished down there, will be land based and wanting to flick some plastics.....any pointers as to a decent spot to try?

Mate would hit up the mouth along the rock walls near D-Bah there is plenty of spots along the walls and can walk a fair bit of them. Best way would be to drive as if you were heading to Duranbah beach "Coral Street" and you should spot the rock walls as you drive along. There is also that big lake behind twin towns, if you follow around the outside of it there is the entrance from the river to the lake thingy jack evans boat harbour ... worth a try. If nothing you can always jump in the car and head further down the tweed were the fish n chips shops are and also Ebenezer park... Tight Lines - MossY

Nice one, along the rocks sounds good, have to get the car down there by 7.00am as when I agreed to meet the mechanic I forgot about the time difference:P.........might as well get something out of an early start on Saturday morn!!!

How long are you there for? There's a boat hire place right near the bridge and drydock rd. Opens up more options, can't take the hire boats up the mouth though.
