This unreliable weather has forced me to stay local around Reddy and the Pine tomorrow, instead of heading out to Mud Island as i had planned. Going to try a couple of the usual spots for a bream or squire with the softies then prob head up the pine around high tide at 7am to see if any prawns are about.
Does anybody know if they are starting to show up around the deep water bend area yet? Just looking for hopefully 2 or 3kg for a barbie gathering tomorrow night. :chef:
Cheers
Deano
Well if they are, wait till high tide then they will pop. They won't be around if the water is Fresh or brown coloured on the high. If the river is starting to clear up a bit then maybe. I would have thought Bramble bay would be a better bet.We just need the salt to push in and then I reckon it will be on.

The water was still very dirty out the front of Redcliffe this morning, still plenty of fresh around. I only saw one trawler near Scarborough reef (wide) this morning around 10 am, then rode my bike across the Hornibrook or Ted Smout memorial bridge and it was very fresh, very dirty at 11 am on the outgoing tide.
Marty.
