hi all, another jew Post....

Wondering what leader should i use landbased for jew in deep water. up to 10m. i am going to be using a snapper type rig. Snapper led, single dropper with 2 snelled 3/0s for a mullet of about 5". about 1 m of rig.. to a single swivel. I will be casting so heads up if this will cause to much grief tangling wise. Also another question with the dropper is how should i attach the snelled 2 hooks. At present i would use a loop to loop? I have got 50lb high quality mono which has really good invisible property's. I think i should be running lighter with the size bait and hooks. Perhaps 20 or 30. Could you please recommend a type and weight for my desired needs thanks. Preferably fluorocarbon (100%)

Sorry for another post about jew:-[

when i fish the Brisbane river for jewies i generally use 50-60lbs leader, but thats because there is alot of structure around as you are fishing very close to pylons, in a estuary situation i might drop down a little say 30-40lbs but i dont think its too much of a bother.ive caught my biggest jew, 117cm, on 14lbs, so anything is possible.
Ive always used a straight, sinker- swivel -leader -hook rig when i fish for jewies, and never had a problem with it, by the sounds of your rig you want to use, id say it would be easiest to use a 3 way swivel, if you want to snell 2 hooks on the line.
When you say "about a metre of rig" are you talking about the length of your dropper??, if you are i would say its too long, as it would tangle up pretty easily, i would generaly make my dropper shorter than the length of line from your dropper to the sinker, at least half if not shorter, if that makes sense to you. Good Luck
