Hi everyone,
I want totry to fish with popper but i don't know which one to choose.
I'm landbased and fish around paradise point (Coomera River and seaway).
I see the Gillies Mini Popper kit (http://www.bcf.com.au/online-store/products/Gillies-Mini-Popper-kit-5-Pack.aspx?pid=135566#Description)- 5 popper for15$.
What doyou think about this pack? Have I a chance to catch something?
Thanks for yours responses.

Try either the River To Sea Bubble Pops in 35 or 45 mm or Storm Chug Bugs . These two brands of lures have always worked for me on Queenies , Trevs or Jacks

Heya jero i've just brought the 3B Crank Hardbodies, Pop Dog 65mm, weight 3.2g, #10 hooks...was told its great for whiting and bream..checkout youtube they have lots on there, they even show you what you can catch, how to cast and why,
Anything is worth a go if ya just persist.
Cheers

To me it doesn't really matter what poppers you use, if they are there they will hit them.
I have a tonne of different types and have also bought the 5 pack you mention, used the 5 pack whilst in Darwin on a recent trip, got smashed by queenies, mac's, GT's the lot, they didn't mind how much they cost at all!!

Those Gillies poppers kits aren't bad for the money, although you will have to change the hooks after a good fish or two. My personal favourite poppers are the River2Sea Bubble Pop 65, caught trevally, queenies, flathead, long tom and a few moses perch on them.Cheers,Kaidon

thanks for your responses.
I bought the gillies pack yesterday because it was cheap and for the begining it would be perfect (i don't want to loose 15 dollard around a pylon). And after some practice , i think i will try the river2sea ones.
What is the difference between the color ( whitch color is for witch fish ?)?

I recon with all lure colours they are there to firstly catch the angler so he buys more I don't think it is as important for the fish it's more important to put a lure in the fishes face and work it correctly and then after hooking a few u will have your fav lure and colour which u will use 85%_90% of the time and catch most of your fish on this lure because you have confidence in it...

So I try the red and white one. I was smashed two time but no fish on the hook.
Maybe they are too little....
