After the wind from weekend i thought grab left over pillys from pelagic fishing i normally leave for berly and shoot to my jack hole at high tide as my net was torn up to much to cast so out i went into the howling wind. Sent out 1 bait and casted a plastic and my poor ol 4000 stradic is seazed up from all the salt from the bay so out with that one and back 1 bait. I hate using bait but it was just to kill a bit of time. Stayed for a few hours until i used bait up and a flatty grabbed the bait. At high the water was clear as but no jack yet. A mate popped in to say hello and with back turned i got smashed and lost the lot and at a solid pace so i am guessing a good jack but nothing after that. Day done and a good 65cm flatty for a feed. Had to hang it in a tree to keep fresh. I will try to chase a jack soon but normally only when it is to windy for me to hit the bay. Cheers DD.....
