In search of a new rod

Am looking for a new rod to replace the gear I recently lost (had to toss my rod and reel in the drink to save my kid from drowning....silly bugger slipped off a bank)....anyways.

I was using a shimano baitrunner DT2500 with a 6'6 1-3kg shakespeare cheapo. I was really pleased with the reel so am keen to get the baitrunner again but am looking for a decentish rod (no more than $100). I use it as my plastics rod and run 10lb braid, I switch the spool out to 15lb mono when I wanna use the baitrunner feature on livies. preferably 2 piece. cork handle......??

Pflueger Trions on special at BCF for the $100 mark just after new year.......probably running this special all this month.

Cheers.......had been told about the trions before so will give them a look....any others below the $100 that are worth a look? I saw BCF had Kato- Cobalt rods for $70???
