We did a couple of trips with the good weather around scarbie in the last few days chasing snapper but with all the boat traffic it has been hard work.
Not many bites and a few that were under size but managed a couple of keepers.
I tried that many soft plastics and techniques on my regular spots that it wasn't funny and it wasn't until I searched some new ground that I got on.
They were there on the sounder but weren't interested in anything at anytime of the day, Hell I even considered bait!

Good persistance!!
From the photo it looks like you finally succeeded by ditching the plastics & just using the jighead ::)

No the soft plastic fell off in the fight.
I also caught some small grassy sweetlip as well as a tailor, a tarpon, a small jew, estuary cod,and some big bream but either didn't have the camera handy or couldn't be bothered with a photo and went for a quick release.

Yes mangrove rat been plenty just not posting. Been travelling the country and fishing where I can,
Just thought I would share a bit lately.
Caught a few jacks before the rain and the holidays/boat traffic etc. but haven't been targeting them this season,
trying new challenges/species instead.
