Fishing King Tides

The tides are quiet large in the Maroochy River at the moment. Would the fish still be there as if there was normal tides. Looking to get the high tide change around lunchtime today. Just fish a little heavier weight and i should be OK??? Perhaps a larger plastic like a 7" in the cod hole(8m of water), i target Jew. Could i please have info asap

generally speaking, try fishing when the run slows up, and then as it just starts to get going again, before it starts to run hard, on either tide.
a spring high will allow fish to travel further up-river in the hunt for food; follow the salt up the river as the tide runs in.
it will also cover more area on mud and sand flats than usual; you can fish these shallow areas on the top of the tide.
