after reading through the forums i headed to pinkenba rockwall on sun afternoon not really knowing where i was going i parked at the boat ramp and walked along the rockwall to the left of the ramp flicking plastics as i went, long story short i clambered under pipes and bridges till i got to the area where the main rockwall starts to come out into the river where i met a jolly fellow who enlightened me on an easier route, so ive been on google maps trying to figure out how to get to some other spots nearby think i have figured out how to get down to boggy creek as the roads and tracks are fairly clear but i would be very appreciative for some advice on getting to luggage pt area and further,
Anyway sun afternoon i get there around the high tide by the time i got out to the actual rockwall area the tide was at the end of the turn and i fished the north side of the wall picking up a nice 60cm flathead my very first. the port side was running mighty quick so i didnt have any luck there as i only took 1/8 jigheads with me (well maybe that was the reason) lots of action there though baitfish everywhere and what i assume where mullet jumping around also caught a baby brim sorta hooked him in the eye i think was kinda dark by now but i let him go in the hopes he would be ok.

Thats a big trek up the rockwall mate from the boat ramp? Nice job on the flatty. It is pretty easy to find your way top the sh!t shute and there is plenty of places to fish along boggy creek etc. I often take my dogs for a run up near the shute, they love the sweet sweet smells that come from the treatment plant. google maps should show you how to get there, but its like going past the boggy creek boat ramp, usually you would take the right after the pink hotel to head towards the p-ba ramp on kirra st, keep going straight and you'll find heaps of new spots along boggy creek mouth out to the sh!t shute.

Good stuff, mate. Enjoy your E. Flathead - the 'e' stands for enterococci, not estuary!!! Just joking.

Is it safe to eat fish caught from the crap shoot area? Never tried, but always wanted to know.

Good session either way.

I think they would be fine to eat but I have no scientific basis for saying so. I fish off the sunken wall that the was mentioned and have eaten a few fish from there that who knows where or what they have been swimming through and they have been fine. As long as they look fine. Sambino a mate took me out in his tinny on Sunday (he said the sunken wall and I realized he was confused but left it) and we were trawling lures around the area near the run out pipe when I caught that bird. If you really are stuck for directions give me a pm and I can sort you out with what you probably have learned already.
