What do most people do with the sinker running up and down on braid line.?
After the first swivel i have an extra 2in of leader that i put the sinker on then another swivel then to the main line. Is there another way of doing it, i just hate the amount of joins of line.

I use a albright knot instead of a swivel. Sinker runs on the mono trace between the knot and the hook.
Cheers.

I use an Albright to my leader then thread on a small bead. This acts as a sinker stop. The sinker either runs down to the hook or I run a swivel to a shorter leader

I use a float stop between the hook and the leader knot to act as a sinker stop to keep the "trace" length desired. Only works with light leads though, anything over 1/4oz will slide the stopper to the hook in casting. I seldom use more than 1/4 anyway. I usually have about 6 feet of leader in total.

I use braid for lure fishing and mono for bait.
It stops a lot of tangles and knot tying. Besides that most of my limited bait fishing is shore based with an alvey reel.

to have a sinker between two swivels or knots is defeating the purpose of a running sinker.

I think it still gives enough run to make a better bait presentation. I don't like my sinker running uo my braid so I use a small bead to trap it on the leader. This gives a couple of meters of potential run. With mono on an alvey I just use the one swivel though
