Hi All,
I scored a new Shimano Calcutta and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a rod to suit it. Maybe something I can get at BCF or my local Tackleworld? Up to $100.
Thanks, Ben.

hey ben, suppose it depends onn what you're fishing for and what line. I have a 200, a 400 and a 700b and love them. The two smaller ones I have attached to ugly stik type rods ie crystal tips etc. I find they have alittle more bend than a fancy rod, and if you're after something that pecks abit, i reckon a little give in the tip is better for bait, etc. They'r also as cheap as 25-50 if you time it right. they take a heap of abuse, and you don't cry when you slam them in the car door!
just my thoughts anyway.

You can pick up a Pflueger Trion for under $100 or for a little more a Shimano Raider. Both will do the job
