hi,
just paid a deposit on a 2601 seaswirl with a beam of 2.59, can any one tell me if i can tow this boat in nsw with a discovery 4 land rover, i have called the rta and every person i speak to gives me a different answer.
landrover gvm 6740kg
boat+trailer 3350kg
gross vehicle weight is 3240
i have attached the conditions bellow:
Operating Conditions and Requirements
1.
Governing legislation is the Road Transport (Mass, Loading and Access) Regulation 2005. Authorising document is the General Class 1 Oversize (Load Carrying Vehicle) Notice 2007, a copy of which must be carried and complied with as you are now a Restricted Access vehicle.
2.
Specified vehicles are
— Any vehicle having a GVM exceeding 4.5 tonnes,
— Any combination having a GCM exceeding 4.5 tonnes,
— Any combination that includes a vehicle with a GVM exceeding 4.5 tonnes.
3.
GVM
(Gross Vehicle Mass) of a vehicle is the maximum loaded mass of the vehicle
— As specified by the manufacturer (
usually stamped on the vehicle compliance plate), or
— As specified by the Authority if

The manufacturer has not specified a maximum loaded mass, or
��
The manufacturer cannot be identified or the vehicle has been modified to the extent that the manufacturers’ specification is no longer appropriate.
GCM
(Gross Combination Mass) of a motor vehicle means the greatest possible sum of the maximum loaded mass of the motor vehicle and of any vehicles that may lawfully be towed by it at one time:
— as specified by the motor vehicle’s manufacturer, or
— as specified by the Authority if:
(i) the manufacturer has not specified the sum of the maximum loaded mass, or
(ii) the manufacturer cannot be identified, or
(iii)
the vehicle has been modified to the extent that the manufacturer’s specification is no longer appropriate.

also can any one tell me if i have to follow all three conditions under (specified Vehicles) or just one off them? eg: — Any combination having a GCM exceeding 4.5 tonnes,
