Terranora Inlet

Took the boat down to the Terranora Inlet today.
Had been told about all the whiting and flathead around there.
Alas we didn't really do that well.
Normally I like to use SP's but we thought we'd try our luck with bait for something different.
Pumped some yabbies although they also were a bit sparse but did get a couple of monster blood-filled worms about 1.2 cm in diameter.
I don't know what they were. Mangrove worms maybe?
Anyway we fished around the front of Wongin Island on the low-incoming tide but only caught a few small bream, a whiting and a tiny flounder.
We drifted with the tide across the flats and I threw a popper in the hope of catching something in the shallows, but no takers with that
Anyone know the area?
I'm sure its got potential.
Are their better places to go, and better ways to fish?

We got heaps of whiting & bream, 2 x 50cm flathead and 4 x luderick in the channels around seagulls (terranora broadwater) in the wind yesterday arvo (anchored up next to the mangroves for shelter)
All on yabbies.
Nothing on the livies.

Had a plastics session late arvo/early evening yest at some flats at Tumbulgum for an assortment of whiting, bream and flathead (and choppers, in about 40cm of water, awesome fun). Nothing to standout but plenty to go round.

Try the flats opposite Crystal Waters jetty at high tide, there are some fearsome bream in there and the occasional whiting that'll take poppers (little ones, I use a BubblePop 35) the waters in front of the Ivory Tavern next to the Boyds Bay Bridge are chokkers with bream and I've seen some monster trevs under the marina pontoons as well.
