Free wheeling hubs

I was wondering could any problems arise from fitting free wheeling hubs to a 2000 Triton 4x4. The only problems I could see is that the cv boots may crack from lack of rotation .Has any body fitted them to Tritons and had problems?

All it will do is save your cv's, boots, and fuel,
if your not using 4wd it'll be worse on all the drive components that need oil splashed around to keep things lubed and prevent rusting on certain parts. fitting them is an upgrade imo

Just slot it into 4wd once a week. No need to engage the hubs. everything oiled Need to engage the hubs every now and then as they can bind up if never moved.

Not sure if it was tritons but some rims were so tight on the wheel centers that you couldn't on other brands of 4wd. People selling the kits should know this or the wreckers of a earlier model that had em?

I just put some on my Dmax. Ive lifted it 40mm so im led to believe it save my CV's. Ive noticed its lighter to steer since ive fitted them so that has to be a good thing!
