Well, I am looking to build a new roof for Beer Batter. This will be a bit of a trial run on my ally welding skills before I tackle some larger jobs.
I want to build a new ally tube roof similar in design to the one attached below. As part of the deign I want to relocate the VHF and AM/FM radios into an overhead console to be secured to the underside of the roof, again similar to the one shown. This is fitted to a Mako in the US. Found the picture on a very informative website, particularly for those about to tackle a fibreglass boat refurb.
My questions are:
1. What would it cost to get one of these roofs made73896 out of ally tube?
2. If I was to do it myself, should I buy a MIG or a TIG?
3. Where in Australia can I buy an overhead console box like that one?
