Hi, has any one fished BP lately for either bass or redclaw? Thinking of giving it a go later in the week but not sure if I would be better of going to Borumba.

Guess I'm going to be a pioneer. Does any one know if there are red claw in BP?

I fished a comp (lure only) at BP about a month ago and between 40 guys only a few 20cm bass were caught. A few campers were getting some redclaw though.

I went and tried. Didn't get any red claw even after letting the pots soak over night. The water in the main basin was quiet dirty but it got slightly better the further I travelled up into the timber.
I tried fishing the main basin through to a couple of kms up into the timber. Didn't even see a fish on the sounder or side/down scan.
Tried casting spinner baits at edges, casting jackalls and plastics amoungst the timber and blades over any deeper structure. There was a strong thermocline at 2.5m in amoungst the timber so I tried working lures just above this. Didn't get a hit the whole time I was there.
