hey all have a haines 560 sf built in survey as an abalone boat has twin 96 mod70 hp evinrude 2 stroke which one seized up to day coming home would you put twins back on or go for the bigger single thinking yamaha or suzuki

mate i got a centre console with twin 50's and i wont go back to a single motor, one for the peice of mind you got 2 motors too get you home but also and more importantly the staibility of 2 motors is unreal and gives better ride. my opinion only but i for one will be replacing mine with 2 new ones.

I think once you have had twins you will never go back. As Supa29 says, there are advantages, and disadvantages for initial cost and servicing, if money is not the issue then it why change what you are use to.
The difference you will have will be enourmous if you install twin 4strokes the same size, lot more power, fuel economy you won't believe in comparison. Yams and Zukes are both good motors, I think Zukes are a little better
I run twin 115 zukes
